Dare to Dance Class Info
Fees are to be
paid at the beginning of each school term.
When the term starts I will provide you with an invoice, which is due to
be paid in the first few weeks of the term. Each term is approx. 10 weeks long, and
runs at the same time as the school term.
Generally we have 2 weeks off over school holiday periods and longer over
the Christmas break.
I do not charge on a weekly basis, so whether the term is 9 weeks or 10 weeks long, the fees remain the same.

What to wear -
-
Hip Hop - Preferably black dance sneakers, loose fitting clothes that you are comfortable in and can move in and the hair is to be worn off the face.
-
Contemporary – Bare Feet or Toe Thongs, loose fitting clothing
Exams -
Exams are held annually, normally in August. Exam fees are due by the end of the first term and exam attire needs to be worn. More details will be provided throughout the first term if you would like to take exams.
Costumes -
I try to keep my Costume prices down, achieved through purchasing items when they are on sale, and planning ahead.
In some cases I am able to hire out costumes, this helps reduce the charge for the student (Note – this means costumes remain the property of Dare to Dance). I don’t believe in spending lots of money on costumes that are to be worn for such a short period of time. I do however still rely on some assistance from parent’s to help with making costumes, hand sewing or with sets and props so if you are able to contribute in any way it is certainly appreciated.
Typically students require only 2 costumes per concert, this normally equates to approximately $30-40 each. Each Term a $15 costume fee is charged (between Term 2 to Term 4), this goes toward the end of year concert costumes.
